Year On with the D3 4.2.... 32k later
Well had the Audi a year to the day now and have covered 32k wonderful miles in her.
Car is running fantastically well with 86k miles now on the clock. Economy has improved throughout the time and on a 260 mile journey the trip indicated 32.1 MPG at approx 70-80mph all the way. The car runs on liquid petroleum gas (LPG) which here in the UK is less that half the price of petrol (50 pence per litre, just over $1) and that is performing flawlessly.
Overall I love the car and am going to keep it for quite a few years yet after checking current residuals on them. Stuff it, it's just too good for what the CAP value claims it is.
I have run without a warranty and have had to replace the following of what the warranty WILL of covered:
Wiper Motor Front - £350 ($700 approx)
Brake Pedal Switch - £20 ($40 approx)
Wheel Bearing - £60 ($120 approx)
Coil Packs - £150 ($300 approx)
Service items as follows:
First Service - £420 (Oil, Filters, Sparks)
Second Service - £300 (Oil, Filters)
CamBelt - £300
Thermostat - £30
MMI Update - £10
All in all very pleased. Car is running spot.
