Default $#%@ing trunk arrrrggggg!

I'd gotten used to the auto trunk on my D3 A8 taking the Winter off, so I was delighted to have a functioning auto opening/closing trunk on my '12 D4.
Until just now.
Using either the door button, key fob or foot waggle sensor will unlatch the lid and it will raise up a centimeter or two, then nothing. Likewise the close button on the lid, although illuminated, does nothing.... I don't have the ability to pull codes, but wonder if anyone has any quick fix suggestion like changing fuses or disconnecting and re-connecting the battery ?
Any help much appreciated.

LMAO....

I posted this same issue.

I just had the car in for service (massage seat bladder and TRUNK LID).

They told me that the system lost it's program?!?! WTF is that? So I open the trunk before driving away (after 8 hour wait, that seat thing is a LOOONG JOB) and it worked. I got home.....................and of course it does not work.

I had been waiting for someone else to post this issue, then go through the usual AUDI BS trying to figure out the fault, and post the solution.

TAG YOU'RE IT!

Mike

THE THING DRIVES ME CRAZY! I want it disconnected and just have an old fashion pop up trunk.

Throw a Viagra back there?

Seriously, sounds like std. D3 stuff to me rather than "lost programs." The "usual" are either a bad motor (which has a clutch sort of set up) or a misaligned or worn trunk latch.

Well, turning it off and turning it back on again seems to have worked....
I disconnected the battery, checked the 30a fuse, which was fine, reconnected the battery and it seems to be just fine now.....
