'13 D4 4.0T engine mngmt acutuator issue
Long time Audi owner, 7th Audi.... HELP! please
Does anyone have, or has, a similar D4 4.0T issue? (below)
its a 2013 A8L w/ 86k miles always well maintained/driven
-exhaust pipes/turbo coolant hoses were replaced at 72k miles and oil separator at 82k miles, so now...
1) check engine light on 2) EPC on / off 3) 4000RPM limiting warning, hot or cold
*Dealer has it for 2 wks w/ an engine management actuator failure and tells me it will need a module as well
its a TSB that recommends dropping the engine! Dealer claims it can do it by removing the front bumpers(?)
Its a CPO until Jan 19, 2019 > trying to decide to keep it for another ~50 000 miles or get a later model A8 or A6
The question: is it a failure of 'engine components' or a major design flaw that will lead to expensive repairs at 100k miles and beyond?
