I didn't spent the $ 954.00. I got my car back and took your advice with Rockauto, also O'reillys I cancelled my order for the rotors and pads after doing research they offer me the not so good rotors. Rockauto offer these . More Information for ACDELCO 18A2817.

Oh nice, understood you spent nearly a grand for only the rears. Rotors almost universally can be turned at least once. I know everyone says don't turn them and this and that but unless your racing the thing the chances of them cracking is really nill. Such a minor amount is taken off. Never had a rotor crack. Anyway, rear rotors are pretty cheap. If you plan on doing the work yourself it is not difficult. Just need the right tools and VCDS to release the parking break. Otherwise labor should be less then 2 hours. On the fronts you can also buff the deposits off the front rotors with 600 grit sandpaper and do those pads at the same time with the idea of using softer pads to reduce rotor issues and brake dust.

VCDS is $200. There is another Bluetooth unit for like $80. I forget the name. There are also other mechanic tools to do this commnand. VCDS is the best for the money because it gives you all the best access to settings to personalize the vehcile as well as full diagnostic and data logging.

Either way you need to command the mechanism to retract. The ghetto way of removing the gear itself and can cause the system to loose alignment and fail. You should hook up a car to a power charger. And a $10 piston retractor tool is very useful.

Overlooked often in these posts is the better support and understanding of VCDS compared to other tools. That affects the quality of the advice--and willingness to help--you may get on forums like this.

Well, figuring he also took the time to diagnose your issue, might not be the worst deal. Dealer charged me around $800 for the rear brake job, pads and rotors(really wished I asked how much it would be.) These aren't bad cost wise if you are somewhat handy.
