Thinking of pulling trigger on this one.

I have contacted Audi Denver where vehicle was serviced and Robert was very helpful in going over all service records.
Would like to buy newer but think this is good deal. No issues noted from service advisor I talked with. F/R brake pads and front rotors replaced 8k miles ago.winshield leak was repaired with apoxy at Audi dealer.
I know this is first year for D4.

• MMI version is P0409
• Maps Version is 5.5.3

(I believe both are original.)

I believe maps can be updated from SD card (cost $400)

• Can I do this without updating MMI?

I know in my D3 I had to update MMI before I could do maps.
I would appreciate any feedback I could get.
I am sure I will have more questions.

In D3 you didn't have to upgrade MMI to update Nav. Only for 2004's did you have to update Nav as part of an MMI update, all of which was to enable AMI (music devices). On D4, there is apparently a break point in 2014 or so where you need be on at least that MMI version to get to the later or current map releases. D4 approach to update is a lot more painful and $$ than the D3 CD era was.
