2012 A8 release date ??
 

Just getting antsy, as I've been waiting for the 2012's since I found out the '11 has no google maps.

Any intel on when the 2012's will be available for ordering, Im told sometime in April, but was curious if anyone else has heard different.

Any word on whether Audi is going to bump the price?

Im starting to feel bad for the '11 owners, will that end up being an orphaned year, with there being no wifi, and the bigger engine thats slated?

1.Count on a 2012 price increase.

2.Don't worry about 2011 D4 owners---while the Audi Connect features are nice, they ultimately come with an added monthly subscription expense for features that may have limited value for many owners---and may also have connectivity issues depending upon where you are. The 4.0 litre V8 sounds nice with an anticipated 410-hp, but the excitement rush that comes with turbos also comes with the typically present turbo lag---even if Audi's engineers are able to keep it minimized, it still won't be completely eliminated. Having owned two previous tubocharged Audis, I actually (and perhaps many others) prefer the normally aspirated 4.2 V8 with no attendant turbo lag, and without all the extra internal plumbing. I think I'd also want to hold off a while and let someone else be the guinea pig on this new engine platform. Additionally, while the 2012 D4 may get the new engine, I've heard that it's also possible that it may be a delayed production change that won't be introduced until later next year. While that doesn't sound likely, we'll soon see what's what.

3. Will the 2011 MY be hurt in terms of resale value without Audi Connect and the new engine? Perhaps, but since I'm leasing, it's not a concern for me.

4. I think late April will be when the order guides will become available, but pricing probably won't be released until mid-summer.
