Hi everyone.
I have an Audi 2013 S8 with 70K miles on it. Recently, it started making a cracking kind of noise in the front which I think is coming from the suspension from the air strut. I can hear the noise when going over bumpy/ uneven roads. My mechanic was able to check out everything and he thinks its the air strut because everything else seems fine. Is there anyone else experiencing this problem? Please, share your thoughts.

A cracking or a crunching? I used to experience a crunching type sound during cold days/nights and traced it back to control arm bushings that were on their way to needing attention.

Is it something you’ve experienced in all temps or as of now with the colder temps?

it's all temps but now i can hear it more it's getting louder.

Look at your upper control arm bushings for any cracking or visible wear. With that age and mileage this is the first place I’d check before jumping in and replacing the strut.

Any noticeable leaks in any corner?
