Is there a reliable aftermarket key for this model Audi? I have called the dealer but a replacement key is 500$, is there a key that can be purchases and programmed by the dealership or a certified locksmith, and the key needs to control comfort features. Thank y'all in advance.

No, not possible.
Dealership will never accept to code any other keys that are not from the original factory.
They have to make the request and code your car.
The request will be made according to their database. You will get the exact same key that you lost. Comfort access will also work of course.

I know this because I lost one key and needed to go to request a new one.
And forget the cheap one you can find online on Chinese websites. They are empty shells. No electronic at all.

And yes it is expensive

Key = 46.75€
Shell + electronic = 144.65€

Total = 191.40 € (before 21% VAT because I'm in EU)

Expensive price, try another dealer, mine was $265 and $80 to code.

$350-ish total is the going rate at multiple dealers around Pittsburgh.

Did you try any locksmith store except dealer, It may be less than $350.

Only an Audi dealer will have access to the server that codes the key. Lots of posts on this subject. It’s usually $85 or so to recode/cut keys. All keys need to be done at the same time, the fee is for all the keys.

I too paid around $350 including the programming for my spare. As has been stated, unless you just want the mechanical, cut key, your only option is the dealer.
