Default 2015 Audi A8 Collision

I hit the door against the corner post of gas station pumps
Hi need some advise. I smacked my rear passenger door at the gas station.
I hit it with the protective post as I was leaving the gas station.
My car is still on lease to end by June 2018.
how much is this may cost me?

This will cost you however much your deductible is, file a claim. You’re on a lease so you need to go to an Audi certified body shop. I’ll guess $4,950 for the estimate.

Thanks for your reply.
I figure something like 2000 to 3000 but 5000
that's a lot of money.
I guess I can make a claim let the insurance pay them for the damage and I pay the deductible. Or it.may not work out that way.

More than $2500. The $5000 figures are much more likely. Too much to pay out of your own pocket if you were thinking of trying to avoid an insurance claim ding.

The big mark up is when the damage gets even a little bit into that rear wheelwell leading edge--like it is. That means to do it right not only do they have to paint the fender, but it goes all the way up the C pillar and onto the roof edge all the way forward to the base of the A pillar. They really only can seam the paint line cleanly where the gutter indents are in the roof and then at the bottom edge of the A pillar at base of windshield. Look at the car body for seams and you will see why. There is nowhere to seam it on the C pillar since the rear fenders are now one ginormous stamping with the whole roof panel.

wow I really didn't see it that way.
the damage need to be seen by Geico I already took it to the auto body shop today. I already know it's over 5000 as the quarter panel and doors are expensive. I already file the insurance claim with Geico. Audi will not give me.a loaner since its a collision. They only give out loaners upon request if there is maintenance being done to the car.
I appreciate everyone's feedback I love this Audi and will continue to own one. Looking forward to the new 2019 Audi A8L
Again, thank you for your feedback.

I just traded my S8 for a new Cayenne Turbo, and my insurance went down $800 a year. Collision repairs of Audi's seem to be way over the top.

Here's a reference....

Personally, I would have never let them cut the quarter panel off for that repair. But, it gives you an idea.....

I noticed that's one whole piece of the quarter panel.
Do Audi sell that whole part.
They are talking about cutting the quarter center of the doors sill.
That auto body is Audi certified collision repair center.
Audi dealership also not only recommended me to them but told me that's the place I need to take the car.

I was side swiped back in 2015 while driving my 2012 A8L and my damage was very similar to yours. I have USAA and my total came out to $3900 including deductible. See images below. The door shell was replaced and the qtr panel was repaired.
