John- Turns out my 2015 replacement vehicle now won't arrive until early December, if that makes a difference to you. Current milage is around 27,600 on the 2011. It's up on a hydraulic lift in my city garage right now, so I can't get at it for a more accurate look at the OD. There is a very feint chance that I might pull the trigger on an available Panamera when my A8's lease officially ends at the end of September, so it could be returned earlier than November if I decide not to wait for the new A8.

Need help
2015 A8, l
Keep the light switch in the "auto" position. Occasionally , get in the car and find the switch in the "ON" position and " headlights on " warning light on. Twice, the battery died and the dealer replaced battery. I am carefull not to touch the switch and check the position often.
I know it sounds improbable but it is a fact.
Any ideas?
Julian

Sounds like you're hitting the switch when you get out of the car, like with your knee. I did this once when I parked facing up a hill but I noticed when I did it. There is no reason whatsoever it would move on it's own, no matter what problems there could be. Ergo, it's human error, somehow.

This was my first reaction and i am carefull not to do it. I also shook my head in disbelief when I saw it happened last night. Short in believing in ghosts....
Thanks ,
Julian

Does anyone else in your household have access to the car or the garage? Is the car locked while parked?

Do you have an old iPhone or something that you could leave in the driver's seat and recording video of the light switch overnight? Regardless of how, something is happening and we want to capture when it changes.
