2016 A8L AC Refrigerant - Freon R-22?
I'm trying to find out if R-22 is used in my A8. If it is Freon, what future options are there for recharging the system once R-22 is off the market. Anyone know?

I think you should be good. Most cars in the last couple of decades have been running on R134A which is sold everywhere and is not under any danger (as yet at least) from being "outlawed" by the EPA.

R22 is the old residential/building type AC refrigerant. It was also superseded and production of R22 ended. Not used in automotive anyway.
R12 was the old automotive one. IIRC, the last Audi I had with R12 was my 1985 5000. Same there; production ended.
As stated, R134a has been in use in automotive for quite a while now and no big pending changes AFAIK.
