Default 275/35-21 all season?

considering switching to all season on my 2017 S8. I like my 21” rims, but tire rack does not have an all season option for 275/35-21. Any recommendations? Also - would all seasons be considered “blasphemy” on this car? Thank you.

Pricy, but they have the Pirelli P7 A/S's in the N0 (aka "Porsche") spec.for 275/35-21. I run A/S's in lieu of true winters now on my S8--the Conti DWS-06's, but I do it on the 20" twin 7 factory wheels in 275/40-20. I also jettison 9 pounds of Audi S8 unsprung lard per wheel. Tires in 275- 20's are less pricy and more plentiful in general

so they probably didn’t show us on for my spec on tire rack because it is a Porsche model? What does that mean? Any downside to putting this on the Audi?

If you search Tire Rack via tire size, the all seasons will display. However, if you search via vehicle, no all season tire will show up. I suspect that the availability of the Dynamic option, which ups the speed limit to 190 mph , caused Audi to not approve All seasons. IIRC, if you search via the A8L, the all season tires show up for that size, because , I presume, top speed is lower.

Thanks Mike! I’ll do that. Is there any concern puttin “Porsch “ tires on the S8?

No issue. I'm about to put Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 N Specs on my A8 in the 275-20 size. Very well rated and many reviews are from owners that put them on non-P cars.

I believe they aren’t shown by tire rack because the load rating in those tires doesn’t meet the minimum for the D4. Our D4s put more weight on the front axle than the Panamera does due to its front-mid chassis configuration. Max load for that tire is 101, the D4 prescribes 103 load rates tire.

this is very helpful Chris, thank you. It seems that this load rates would therefore not be covered by my tire insurance as well...

Scratching head...

It's a 103 rated tire...

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...omCompare1=yes

V rated, so "only" good for 155, which would cover anything governed to either 130 or 155, including my stock 2015 S8. I do typically buy higher, but in (upper) mid line A/S's, doesn't surprise me. Might actually be why TR sorting is kicking it out though, since Audi spec per below is technically a Y spec.

For OP, also realize TireRack is not the be all and end all of tire sites. In particular, when they are out of stock on something (especially winters), they have an annoying habit of deleting the listing entirely for a given size rather than admitting they are out of stock. If you use it as a tire reference source, it creates the mis-impression there is no fitment rather than they simply don't have it. Thus I also check other sites like Discount Tire and 1010 too when I am coming up with few choices.

For others, tire load spec varies by motor and wheel size. Best to go by the tire sticker now mandated on the door jamb, but below is the table from 2017.
