Looks like it includes everything except oil separator... it sounded like the dude already had some parts though and was just purchasing additional ones. HBAB8 dude, please clarify what parts you have and who is advising you on additional parts? The above kit would be the simplest and just add oil separator to it.

^ I was considering the same as it seems logical. After researching on the forums, the conclusion I came to was that Audi put that screen in there for good reason, to protect the check valve. Without the screen the check valve would be subject to whatever the screen is catching. If the check valve fails, i think the same result of blown turbos. People more knowledgeable than I should comment.
If you are planning on keeping car forever, and you have good mechanic that isn't going to rape you, i would consider replacing the check valve, oil screen and oil separator which have all been revised. That will give you peace of mind. Also, change oil every 5k or even 3,750 like me.

I have changed my oil interval to 5-6k. My CPO expires Nov '19. I'll have about 45k on the odo. I plan to purchase an extended warranty( 4 years up to 100k) that will cover the turbos. If I do not buy an extended warranty, I will certainly do the preventative screen/check valve once the 7/70 hidden warranty expires (my car was sold-in and resides-in a CARB state).

I am looking for an A8. I have looked at a 2015 and a 2013 with the turbo 4.0 liter. This is where I get a little nervous when hearing the discussion regarding the Turbos.
There is a 2011 that has all the options and the 4.2 liter V8. There is not much difference on the cars other than the engines.
The main reason I want the car is for long hauls for my wife and I to enjoy after retirement.

Are the new oil separators from the dealer an upgraded version like the screen and check valve? Or is it just recommended to change it out as maintenance even though its the exact same part?
