Generally remote start isn't even permitted in Europe as I recall (safety and emissions), so you won't find it spec'ed or optional the typical Euro ride. Hard to retrofit from at least those w/ D3's who tried it--often kind of screwing something up to be direct. Plus, since I see 19's on that car, less likely in general it would have lots of bells and whistles as a guess.

It is funny how many of the lower priced cars have auto start. my kid's brand new Civic has auto start. Convenient here in Chicago on cold winter mornings...

I just start the car and turn on the heated seats and steering wheel. Not a big deal to live with the discomfort for a couple of minutes. D4 seats seem to heat faster than my D3. Can't comment on the steering wheel as my D3 had a wooden wheel. That wooden wheel was the worst part about cold temps.

I remember trying to get something for my BMW 750 and my Land Rover a few years ago, the dealers/installers I spoke with said it's very expensive as they need a module to bypass the smart key and security systems.
