Hi everyone! I need your opinions!!!

I want a car that I can use for long distance trips in the Rocky Mountain region of USA, all year round. I also want something I can use for back-roads and camping, etc.

If you had to choose between a 2015 A8 TDI Quattro or a 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road, which would you take?

I love the range of the A8 TDI, and the fact that it is a diesel. But then the Tacoma may be more versatile, though it only has around 450 mile range as compared to the A8 TDI's 850 mile range. Would you just put roof rails on the audi and a cargo carrier, and then raise it if you needed to?

Let me know your thoughts!!

(If only they offered a diesel Tacoma in the USA...)

How about a diesel Q7? That would be more versatile in an off-road environment, but still carry a lot of the traits you like in the A8?

Kind of an apples and oranges comparison between a truck and a luxobarge, but for what it's worth I LOVE my A8L TDI..... (I actually got rid of a diesel F250 after I bought it...)

Are you serious? A8 is not a "back-roads" car. If you need to ask, just get the Tacoma.

Never heard of people getting a luxury sedan for the purpose of doing back roads and camping. Once in a while yes, but on a regular basis?
