I would guess it's just the left front sensor.

There are several on Ebay for cheap. There is even a pair of left and right for $700 but I think I would just buy the left sensor.

FYI, even if you can find a "cheap" replacement sensor that solves the issue, after it's installed the system will require an alignment by the dealer using a special jig. I've read this costs $1000 or more.

It is super expensive, but some have gotten it aligned themselves pretty well. It's been a while since I've seen it come up in thread, but with VCDS, you can get it pretty close without the jig. Close enough to function as designed.

I aligned my ACC at home with VCDS but that was on the D3 with only one sensor. I suspect the two sensors + camera system is much more difficult.

acc re-calibration is about 800 at my dealer, i was not aware it can be done with vcds at home any more light on this would be greatly appreciated as i already paid the dealer 800 plus additional hour of labor since the the car was there for a whole week.

on a good note i cleared all the codes and right away the acc not available error showed up on my instrument cluster which is a good sign as i thought they may be messed up coding for it somehow. i had to clear fault codes in both modules.

i will scan again tomorrow to see what else comes back the left sensor error for misaligned comes right back.

I did some looking and I think I was remembering people talking about the D3. I don't see anyone self aligning a D4, and given it's more precise with more sensors, it may not be easy to get right. Since it hasn't worked since you bought it, check for signs of damage to the area around the sensor. An impact to the bumper can throw them off.

FWIW, for most parts folks won’t know whether the parts suffixes have any meaningful difference or not. Sometimes it is just an improvements change that doesn’t affect fit or function, other times though it does. If you mean the sensor in the flog light area, I would check things like pre-facelift vs. post facelift. You can look at EKTA for stuff like that. Or maybe simplest and best, get in touch with one of the on line (or local) dealers with your VIN in hand and they can run it to confirm correct (current) part #.
