Sound performance question :
A8/s8 owners: have any of you ever installed a subwoofer(s) in your vehicle? What was your setup and how do you like it? I recently bought a 12" powered subwoofer with a ported enclosure, and my car stereo shop is cautioning me that they aren't sure if I will get much performance out of it, due to the insulation of the cabin and any sound dampening that may occur due to the thickness of the rear seats, etc. They said the only similar vehicle they've worked on was a Flying Spur, so they aren't positive what kind of sound pass through into the cabin I will get. Anyone here have subs in the trunk? One owner on a fb group recommended removing the factory subwoofer from the rear deck to allow more sound pass through into the cabin, but I was hoping that wouldn't be necessary.

So, just for a bit more info, my car is a 13 S8 with B&O, and the sub I bought is this one.

I had a ported 12" Image Dynamics sub installed in the trunk of my '15 S8. Mounted an Arc 650 watt amp in the trunk in the space where the pass through is (installed a carpeted piece to trim it out, so no more pass through). Used a LOC and got signal from the leads from the factory B&O sub. Removed the factory B&O sub completely. Have the bass **** in the glove box. I keep it at about 50% gain and it jams. The box is removable if I need all of the trunk back. I'll try to take some pictures and upload them this weekend.
