All-season tires for a 2013 Audi S8?
 

I have looked around a few sites (tirerack.com, etc.) and have not been able to find any all-season tires for my 2013 S8. Do they even exist?

My current tires seem to "step sideways" when I turn in reverse, resulting in a loud clunk when I back out of my driveway. Especially when surfaces are wet and cold.

Any tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Search by size.... not vehicle. You'll find 275's in all season. Not sure what the difference is but perhaps the tirerack guys can explain.

You will find two 275-35-21's in A/S on the TR site. None in the 265 size. Bend over as you open the wallet. $405 or $560 each.

Or maybe break out of the box as it were... Go w/ the A/S's but...pick up a set of 20 OE wheels.. The twin 10 spokes are a dime a dozen on eBay (or even may appear occasionally on some big metro CraigsLists); actually high quality Fuchs forged instead of the cast S8 and RS7 boat anchors. Get those with some $240 Conti DWS-06's and you could be close to same zone of total $ but with a likely better result. You will also drop 5-7 pounds of S8 21 pork off each corner--9 if you go with the lightest twin 7 OE 20's. Find my posts and you'll know how I know...

Can still go with the 21's if desired and run summers--just not in winter. Summers are not a good answer compound wise for winter even in snow free areas or conditions given loss of traction. If usually 45 or 50F, all fine like here in SF Bay Area, but if near true freezing temps not a good choice. With A/S on the 20's, run as long as you want rather than feeling limited by "winters" as the more common approach for two wheel sets.

very strange and no one here or in the shop had any idea as to cause. The car would jump side ways followed by a loud bang ('clunk' if you will) when turning out of my parking spot when the weather turned cold one year.

I had bought a set of Bentley wheels that fall that had P Zero summer tires mounted. It must have been caused some how by the summer compound getting too cold, because mounting a set of all season tires put an end to the behavior.

The tire skipping and clunking when cold is very common with the summer only tire compounds and it is due to the tires hardening when the weather turns colder. This is also why tire performance fades exponentially in the summer compounds once temps dip below 45*.

If you have 21s, I put the Pirelli All Seasons on mine. Search for my thread. I think its a slightly different size though. They are pretty good. Not super quiet, but quiet enough. Seem to be lasting well so far.
