Audi A8 4.2 TDI Fail to start
Hello to everybody !
I have Audi A8 4.2 TDI , before facelift (2013) and It won't start.
Car is keyless and when I push start button, only ignion is on but no starter cranking or something else.
I have some fault messages : TPMS, Air Suspension system, Hill Start Assist and ESP.
When I tried to make diagnostic with VCDS I can't enter into engine module, because I'm receiving "No response from the controller"
All fuses are OK.
Please, give me some ideas...
Thank you in advance!

Try the starter relay... number 381?? (I think this is the number) 431 951 253 G
Usually on the right side of the car, under the dash, close (Ish) to the fuse box.
Try swapping them about of there are more than one and see what happens.
That should give you a fair idea of the issues.

Other quick possible temp fix,
get a heavy piece of metal bar, like a torque bar for releasing wheel nuts... Give the starter motor and solenoid a good smack a few times and see if that makes a difference... It can release a stuck motor bendix or the solenoid unit so it makes a connection.
If it starts, unfortunately its going to be a new starter motor or starter solenoid which I don't think you can get separately. It might run OK for a few days or weeks but once they play up, its only a matter of time before they fail completely.
