Default Best phone holder for my d4?

So I'm trying to figure out what others have used and done with their d4, to hold a pixel or latest Motorola handset. Any recommendations and good mounting places are appreciated

I'm interested, too. Share photos of your mounts!

i have one that slips over one of the air vents. But the vents move around too easily under the weight of my iPhone 7 Plus. So I never use it. I’ve tried a windshield mount as well and there’s really not enough windshield real estate available to make it comfortable for me. Wherever I put it, it was in the way.

Mostly i store my phone laying flat, screen up in the cup holder. It’s the one place that it works comfortably. When I’m using Waze on my phone, I’m always just streaming music as well so I can get traffic and ‘other’ alerts over the B&O system.

There's this one but I'm not sure if anyone has used it: http://www2.kudausa.com/kuda_mount_a...011-2-747.html

I use one of those cup holder ones.

Default Ram Mount with magnetic phone holder

I used a Ram mount with the diamond mounting ball, then the magnetic mount for the phone. I HATE the large magnetic circle, but that is all that RAM offered. It could be much smaller.

It's a little pricey, but I loved the solution and it fits like a glove between the steering wheel and the MMI display. I can remove it pretty easily.
Because of the curvature of the mounting surface, I ground down the RAM mounting part a slightly, and used 3M VHB tape.
I also ground down the articulating arm a little so that I could get the right position/angle for the phone.

I think it's a wonderful solution, it's solid, doesn't wobble/shake and I just drop the phone in place with one hand.

I have one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01L1GHVDU?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_title

Sticky magnet on the back of the phone and then just fire it onto the mount when you get on. Works a treat and doesn't damage the car or the vent.

I've tried several of these. This simple one is the easy winner. Holds to the vent slat without scratching or coming loose. Phone can rotate as needed. Slips in in one fluid motion of pushing one of the grip arms and setting the phone in.and out.
