Bi-Xenon to full LED conversion?
I'm looking to pick up a 2011 A8L 4.2 sometime this week, 70k miles, beautiful car black on black with every option (yes it has the B&O) except executive rear seating and the LED headlights. My biggest gripe with the car is the fact that it has the bi-xenons instead of those magnificent full LED headlights. Those things make the whole car in my opinion. After searching all of Google and beyond, I couldn't find anything on the A8 conversion but I have found some on the A6 and A7. It seems to be very possible on this car. I was just wondering if anyone here knows anything more about what is required to do it (parts, wiring, coding, etc). Would love to know ASAP. Thanks!

I believe it's just the headlight assembly replacement, switch replacement, and VCDS coding, but even if that's all that's required, it would be very expensive. Not worth it. It's better to keep looking for a car that has all you want. It's odd that you found a car with B&O, night vision, alcantara headliner, dual pane glass, 4-zone climate control, massaging/ventilated/heated 22-way adjustable front seats, ACC, and all the fun stuff without the LED headlights. Very odd.

Like Jack said.. Its a very expensive option. Dealer price is about 2800 a piece. 2400 at one of the online part dealers. One of my friends has an extra pair full LED headlights for his A8L (not sure why or how, probably got them from the body shop he manages) but he said he kept them in case the ones he has go out as he doesnt want to pay up for new ones at that price. Not even sure if a used pair have to be programmed to the car or something?
