I am not receiving any text notifications on my phone when connected to my car and I am playing the radio or satellite radio. From what I understand the phone thinks I’m listening to the Bluetooth connection and therefore any sounds played won’t come through the car speakers since I’m not actively listening to the phone via Bluetooth. The only option I can find is to disable the audio Bluetooth connection in the car, which will still allow me to receive calls in the car but also notifications via the phone speaker versus car

is there an alternative to this so that I don’t have to manually connect the audio once I do plan to stream from my phone to the car music etc.
