Can anyone identify this sound in my S8??

Yep, it's the windscreen on the sunroof. If you open the roof, wait for the noise, and then pull down a little bit on the windscreen, you'll see that the noise stops. The people at Audi did not fix mine...still happens. I just haven't bothered to take it back in. I think it's as simple as an adjustment to the height of the fully extended windscreen.
