can I install a MMI 3G 2016 on an Audi a8 D4 2011

Not sure what you mean. Are you asking if you can install the newest software? If so the answer is that the dealer has to install new software. It doesn't work like it used to with the older MMI system in the D3.

Thanks for your response! Not my question is if I can change the complete case of the MMI 3 g? My Audi A8 is a platform D4 from 2012 may 2011 they changed from MMI and I managed to get a 2016

Again I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are asking. Are you saying your D4 doesn't have MMI 3g?

Yes I have the MMI 3 G in my car. But I have the 2011 model, and on the 2011 model there is no insert for the sim card, so I was given a 2016 model

Now I get it! But the answer is that I don't know. I won't hurt anything to try it. In fact I suspect it will work just fine. Please let me know how it turns out.
