Cooled Glove-Box Alternative?
Today in Pittsburgh it's 91° plus with lots 'o humidity, so we did a little test on a 30-minute highway run with windows up and ac on. We had 2 water bottles that had been left in the car, so I put one in the glove box and put the other in the rear armrest cup holder with the rear armrest in the down position.
Upon arrival at the destination, we pulled the water bottle our of the glove box and lo and behold it hadn't cooled off at all since I forget to open the glove box cooling vent!
BUT the bottle in the back was nice and cool....seems the rear air vents that are positioned in the back of the center console were pointed directly at the water bottle and did a marvelous job of making it refreshingly cool. Good to know! And now, you do too.
