There's an Executive Rear Cabin package available for the LWB 4.2 model and some interesting new exterior and interior color choices.

I just got a copy from my dealer. He actually wanted me to order a car without seeing the colors or knowing ANY of the pricing. Well, you can't blame a guy for trying, I guess!

He says that the cars will be in the showroom in June. Probably the cars that were used as the dealer demos in Spain ( I think it was Spain) and prcing will be available at about the same time.

I am waiting with bated breath....

(BTW, anyone know the derivation of "bated breath"?)

Dealer says new car should be about 8% up from last year.

I wonder how much the LED headlights will be! I love the look, but really don't want to break the bank for them.

But, to stay on topic: I wouldn't hold my "bated breath" for any pricing in June. From everything I've read/heard, we might not see pricing announced until just prior to launch time which will be Sept/Oct. But I don't really know anything beyond that---If not June, then perhaps by August at the earliest would be my guess.

As a reference, LED headlights on the 2010 R8 have an MSRP of $3500. Your dealer's guess at an 8% price increase could be in the range; I've been guessing at $84,280 for the LWB and $80,140 for the NWB --- that's a 7.5% hike vs. 2010 MSRP.

Well, I guess I'll have to wait. I am looking for a fairly well loaded NWB sans B&O for under 90K. I'll have to see what I can get.

I'd ask what the service part / repair price for the LED headlight will be once out of warranty. Are they even covered by the warranty since "light bulbs" usually are not.

Good quesiton. I will certainly ask that question of the dealer.

As far as "out of warantee" goes, I plan on keeping the car between 6 and 7 years and will purchase extended warantee when I buy the car. I wll (also) make certain the lights are covered in that!
