Do hybrid wheels work on a normal car
I love Audi Hybrid Wheels (If you don't know what I'm talking about, search "Audi a8 hybrid wheels")
Does anyone know if I can buy them for a 2013 Audi s8, or if it is even possible to fit hybrid wheels on a normal car? Cheers Joe |
On Q5 hybrid, wheels are all interchangeable to any motor. I expect the same on any D4 wheels. D4 uses the "new" hub diameter of 66+mm, bolt pattern is 5 x 112. So do C7 A6/S6/A7/S7/RS7, and A5/S5/Q5 among others.
You just need to clear front brakes w/ given size. If you work within the D4 model line yup, width and offset should come out correct. Same with wheels in A7/S7 group BTW as far as likely donors, while A6/S6 offsets are somewhat too conservative for a D4. On an S8 clearing brakes means at least 19" even with exactly the right Audi wheels and more commonly 20's. If Hybrid wheels are 20", probably works fine. Check the info I gave here against wheel listing. If you get offset and width, it can be the other few things to check, though again within the D4 models (or A7/S7) in general they should al be consistent for a given size/width. |
