Default Does the dual pane glass option make that much of a difference?

I am looking at two Audi's, one with all features including B&O but the MSRP sticker doesn't list Dual Pane and another with Bose and Dual Pane but does not have rear recliner seats. I read that dual pane makes a difference in road and outside noise, and one of my biggest points is a quiet ride which is why I plan on also replacing the tires on either car.

Does dual pane glass make that much of a difference on the A8 vs single pane? And does Alcantara headliner help with the ride noise?

I've only had the dual pane in mine, but I can tell a huge difference with interstate noise and traffic around me.

My brother in law works for Safelite and has driven a number of cars and thinks it makes a big difference too.

B&O is a really pretty set up, but it seems the prevailing opinion on the site for the D4 is that the system lacks on the bottom end and people are quite pleased with the Bose system (of which I am one)

FWIW, dual pane became standard 2016. The 2015's I looked at rarely had that as an option. Granted a different car but I notice a big difference between my D3 w/o vs the D4 with dual pane.

I didn't know this was standard in 2016, I rarely seen dual pane as an option on the 11's though 13's I looked at.

Massive difference if you're a picky person like me. The main difference that ALL drivers will notice is windnoise at highway speeds.

I decided on the 2019 A8 vs the A6 because here in Canada, dual pane glass is not available on the A6. I'm not even kidding.
