Door locks - Is it just annoying, or is it "A Problem"?

OK, it's way too effing hot in eastern Nebraska to wash my car outside after work, so I'll try the "key on the seat" and "key in the garage" suggestions early Saturday morning and see if it makes a difference. I'm going to Audi Omaha a bit later, so I'm gonna ask their tech guys, too.
Thanks, y'all!

Some keyless cars do this and some don't. It's based on what kind of sensor they use in the door handle. It's not that big of a deal so I'm not sure why a few people here are getting bent out of shape.

The car feels water and your movement as unwanted movement therefore locks the doors. put the key into the car then the problem is solved. if you have the odbeleven PRO then you can re-code it. Go to Central Electrics 09> Control unit> long codind> byte 09 deactivate bit 7 but its better to not do that. if you have parked the car and have forgotten to lock it then locks it directly if any dinghy wants to do something to your car (Sorry my bad english)

So, today was the first time in a long time I had the time to wash my car at home. Lots of crappy weather, ran through a few robo-washes and, while I was at Audi Omaha for some other stuff, the service manager offered me a wash because he couldn't bear to see a dirty A8L.
OK, I remembered the advice I got here (leave the key fob on the seat) and gave it a try. It worked. No more lock/unlock/lock/unlock...
Simple solution. Thanks, y'all!
