Bought a 2015 A8 in October. Had 37k miles, now has 42k. Factory warranty ends in mid June. Dealer I bought it from is a luxury reseller of high end cars off of short leases. Very reputable and this is the 2nd car I’ve bought from them. The sell warranties from First Automotive. Plan would give me virtual bumper to bumper for 60 months or 100k, which would end somewhat at the same time with the miles I put on it. About $4,700.

Thoughts? I’d pay cash but that’s about $80 a month for no repair concerns.

I also have an Audi dealership 5 minutes from my house, they just did the fuel line recall.

Audi Pure Protection quote was $4,800 for 48/100 and $5,700 for 72/100. Don’t offer 60 months. What do you think wholesale prices are?

I bought that warranty. I think I have a pretty good idea where you bought your car :-).

I didn’t think too long about buying that warranty. And I’ve used it for something small for the car I purchased in Sept ‘18. But when I look around this space shuttle of a cockpit at all the fiddly German electronics, I’m calmed by the fact that I’ve got something bumper to bumper.
