Front License Plate Laws
#11
We are required in Illinois to have one. I don't. I keep my front plate in my trunk and throw it on the dash if I'm in an area where I know the popo will check. By another courthouse I go to, I literally tie it onto the front grill with plastic strips from a grocery store bag until I get out!

In New Jersey, it is not worth the hassle. It is a minor infraction, "factitious plate", but the fine was raised a few years ago and you have to report to court in person, rather than pay the fine.

In 4 years never had a problem with no front plate. Not going to start now. 80% of my driving state requires it though. Ky & fla doesn't require so they don't even look twice. If I got pulled over for speeding might be a different story. Although with the passport 9500 even that's unlikely. I'm not a bad habitual speeder anyway
