Unhappy a8 transmission

I purchased a 2011 A8 last July. After a couple thousand miles I experienced some slippage in the lower gears....mainly after not coming to full stop and than accelerating. There was a recall last month where they changed or adjusted software. I still have slippage... not all the time but any amount is obviously too much. I made another service appt. for this week.

Anyone else with this problem

Thank you

Don't automatic transmission with torque converters have some slippage at low speed by design? What speed did the slippage occur at?

Default transmission

It really happens at very low shifts 1 to 2nd........ 2nd to 3rd (sometimes)
Took it for service yesterday and got 2011 a8 loaner..... noticebly better. Also my brakes are grabbing way to much if that makes any sense ... I know audi brakes are awesome but these are on steroids. Love the car... your A8L is what I almost bought but I couldn't justify paying for the back seat toys as I seldom have multiple passengers.

Haven't heard back yet...

I notice a hesitancy when slowing to a stop then accelerating again as if the transmission has to think about the request. Also an occasional harsh downshift still occurs and all of this remains even after the software update. Oddly, if a full stop is done, there's rarely hesitancy.

This is strange. The 2011 A8 isnt a DSG transsmission is it? There were early DSG Trans issues when Volkswagon brought them to the market

My car was fixed after taking to a 2nd dealership. Don't give up on this issue. The original recall fix didn't work

so the the original recall was the problem, not the dealership that fixed it, correct?

Default recall

The recall was to replace and adjust specific software. The first dealership replaced software but did not make adjustments that were needed. This is what the 2nd dealership explained to me

oh, now I see. If I know the dealer didnt do what they should have, I mark them down in the survey. If you already completed the survey, I would recontact AoA and let them know (if you havent done so already)
