Help diagnosing fault code - AUTO HVAC: 0378 - Coolant Circulation Pump
My HVAC system seems to be running fine, but I keep getting the same fault code come up as soon as I run a scan. I did notice a few times last summer the passenger side vents would blow warm air while the driver side vents blew cold air, usually after a cold start but not always, even though the HVAC settings were the same for both passengers. Anyone have this fault code diagnosed before? btw my car is a 2011 A8 swb 4.2 with 73,000 miles, live in the upper midwest.

I don't remember if this was my code; but if it's the pump on the cowl side of the firewall, the dealer wanted $600 to change it.

Thx for al the reaction I noticed later this is for the A8. I need a solution for the A6 C7 model.

I replaced both pumps and same code
I have the same problem described in this thread. No heat intermittently this past winter, and now no heat period. My vehicle is a 2013 Audi A8L w/ the 4.0t engine.
Here is my code scan from VCDS: 1 Fault Found: 0378 - Coolant Circulation Pump B10D0 04 [009] - Internal System Fault Per the suggestions from this and other threads, I changed the pump located by the fire wall (I used a new "replacement" pump purchased from Ebay $33), and still get the same code. No heat either. After a little more research, I discovered an identical pump down by the Aux radiator in front of the drivers side wheel well. Thinking that was the problem, I purchased and changed that pump (again, I used a new "replacement" pump purchased from Ebay $33) and again get the same code. No heat at all yet. I am out of ideas, and am hoping that there is another avenue to troubleshoot, because I need a direction, other than taking it to the dealer.... |
