So I added opening and closing of windows/sunroof via Carista. Afterward, I noticed in my car systems menu in the MMI, where I used to be able to control all the interior lights independently and even change the color of the interior lighting, now all that functionality is gone. Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks for posting this info about the Carista, I bought one on Ebay but was hesitant to open it as I hadn't heard anything about it but from what you said I'm sending mine back. If it's screwing up your MMI settings I can only imagine what would happen if you tried to do a rear brake job. Best of luck.

Get yourself a real ross tech vcds cable and you'll be better off in the long run.

obdeleven works great as a bluetooth device/app combination and added this functionality to my S3 without a problem. no need for vcds as it can do long coding and also uses app shortcuts for less involved mods. not involved, no sales involvement, just a satisfied customer.

While I'm sure obdeleven will turn out to be a good product it's still very new. I know for a fact VCDS can read every module. And when needed will give you security access codes to modules. And has most things labeled within the modules. VCDS is still the best tool out there. Yes it costs more but you get what you pay for.
