Just back from the NYC Auto Show
I was looking carefully since I want to buy a new car around November. High on the list were Audi (D4) jAGUAR (xj) and BMW (750).
Well, IMHO the Audi has them all beat. The interior (which is where I will be most of the time I am near the car and hence the most important factor to me)of the Audi is without a doubt head and shoulders above the others I looked at.
The rather bland exterior is fine. The car has a refined grace about it.
There seems to be a nice evolution in many areas over my 2006, and I am looking forward to a test drive and placing my order.
Now I am waitng to see all the gory details of pricing!

Exterior Color
So what colors best distinguish the lines of the D4? I'm thinking lighter like white or light silver, although my last two Audis have been Phantom Black Met., the most recent an '08 A8 with Linen interior, which seems close to the beige interior in the video on the Audi site. I gather order guides will be at dealers in May. Audi will probably publish photos of the D4 in various exterior colors, if it has not already. If so, I would appreciate a link. Thanks.

What I was told by my dealer is that there will be fewer colors available. He showed me a sheet, but I didn't really take much notice as I am not ready to place an order today.
When I bought my '06 I had to speical order the Cambridge Green *and* the cream/beige interior. Sand/Beige was available, but I really wanted the interior lighter....and I am not at all unhappy with that choice. As a matter of fact, I will do it again if I can.

On the UK website, the cost is listed at 3,200 GBPs---and US Audi pricing has typically run a bit lower.

Actually the color was special but not Audi Exclusive. I am not really sure how it was set up, but it was a $750 "special configuration" order. My interior was also "special order" but the cost was only applied once.
Even at 2K, I might consider the option, but would certainly prefer the lower cost!
In any event, I'm a-gonna get me one!
