Fun car--the N54 is fantastic when it is running right but a nightmare if you get a bad example. I had a 135i that went through high pressure fuel pumps more frequently than oil changes.

oh, I've heard!!!!! you should see the bimmerfest forums. Mine has very low mileage for a 2009, 36k miles on it, but I will expect issues to start arising in the next 15k miles.

Do you have access to the service history? It seemed like each individual engine either chewed through HPFPs or was generally fine. Mine went through a HPFP like clockwork every 1500 miles. I lemoned the car w/i a year.

yes, so far no issues. more issues with my A8! but I also have 65k miles on the odo. I have to say I love this BMW. There is such a difference between how these cars drive vs. the Audi. But I did drive the new S5 cabrio - I'm in love! But at $77k, not that in love.

lol but you can't compare a 3500 lb car to a 4700 lb extended size luxury car. A better comparison would be s4 to 335i

very true. I'd trade in my A8 for that S5 in a heartbeat! it even has massaging seats now! and I made some calls from it with the top down, and my wife said she couldn't hear any wind noise at all and there was no windscreen up either.

that's the worst part, I have 3 kids! it is completely impractical for me. And I drive like 20k miles a year at least. I just love it! But I also had the Q7 as a loaner and it was amazing! love the fit and finish on that sucker. drives as well as my A8 AND it was a 2.0. Was very surprised by that engine
