Hello everyone I have a 2011 a8L that out of nowhere the Keyless entry stopped working on all the doors. I can unlock and lock the car with the fob fine but the proximty unlocking and locking feature just up and quit on all the doors. Has anyone ran into this issue and is there a way to reset the system? Thanks in advance and have a great day.

hey..

I've had this happen before when the car battery is low. I put the battery on the charger for a couple of hours and once the battery voltage came back up, the keyless entry and button on handle to lock/unlock started to work again..

More importantly it’s a sign your battery may be dying.

In that case I too have a question. I picked up a stunning 2009 S8 with 94,000 miles two months ago and having an absolute ball with it. It was meticulously cared-for in every way and I’ve had a few very minor things done to it in the two months I’ve had it; which included buying a brand new battery (I believe it [the keyless entry] was working before the new battery was installed). Yet, my keyless entry also is not working now. So, if in my case it’s not the battery, but else could it be? I do plan on having my mechanic do a scan after a road trip I’m on.
