Anyone know where I can pick up some S8 embroidered floor mats. They are not easy to find. I have looked all.over the web. Looking for winter mats with the S8 logo also.
Will be hard. BTDT. Places in Europe are the more likely suppliers, especially for winter mats in all four positions. Custom embroidery might be a possible too, bu finding an S8 logo in a sea of Vette, Chevy and Ford type mass market logo's will be a challenge for the art work (and sometimes trademark conerns).
What I did was give up on the logo idea and instead get some modern design coco (sisal) mats is a tight weave. My S8 has the Vermont Brown Exclusive package with the copper twill carbon trim inserts. The sisal weaving and color plays nicely off the interior color scheme in mine. Generic picture from their web site below.
For winters, I went off of ebay.de. Audi dealers only have the A8 logo'ed mats. Same issue w/ trunk mat by the way; I did a prior post on it. For trunk pre- vs. post facelift matters, and post facelift S8's have a completely flat floor unlike most A8's that have a recess (as do the supplier mats in most cases, including dealer). The short wheel base compounds the sourcing issue for back mats, since most volume in D4 is A8L to start with. Ultimately found some simple black ones from ebay.de that are fine. But I am in mostly just a light rain sort of area, with occasional trips to Sierra's by winter. If I had to deal with heavier muck, something like the McNeils with the tall lip/tought designs would make more sense, but I think those are likely front only given the L.
Here's my solution for winter mats. I purchased a set of WeatherTech mats and replaced their logo with an Audi emblem. You can find the emblems on eBay. Search for "domed Audi emblem". Pull off the WeatherTech emblem and replace it with the Audi emblem. I searched high and low for an S8 emblem with no luck. I found an S-line emblem but that was it.
