You really don't want to Bluetooth (A2DP) into the AMI anyway on a long term basis. A fair amount of fidelity loss relative to either CD's or high bit rate copies into a device. Blutoothing in is another variant of low bit rate. Drains device battery too. Leave phone in car a few times and it gets old (BTDT in past), let alone risk of car break in with exposed devices.

I would (and do) just use a dedicated slave device and sync it back to iTunes if that is where your music library is. Then you can go high bit rate and use the newer cable if you get a 5S era device or later iTouch w/ Lightning. Lots of used and forgotten devices that still function stuck in folks' drawers, handed down to kids, etc. Doesn't matter if screen is cracked or other cosmetics for that matter; just needs to run and be connectable for synching.
That is a very good idea!

That's what I do in my 2014 A8L. I have an old 160 gig iPod Classic that never leaves the car except to update the content. It doesn't show album art either in my car, but I get to have all my music in the car with me. Playlists are important though because with that many songs, navigating to them any other way is overwhelming.

Just get an old (out of service) iPhone or iTouch or whatever and put your music on that. Or obsolete Android equivalent if that's your cup of tea. Then just stays w/ car. Most parents (and kids) probably have a quasi drawer full of them by now, or on eBay. 32G gets you well past 2000 songs/couple hundred albums at high bit rate, and 32G's aren't hard to find. W/out pics and other apps on a dedicated device, 90% of memory then goes just to tunes. Or, get the SD card slots mastered--something I need to do myself...

Is there a cable for Android / Samsung Galaxy S7?

No idea. Call or email in to audiusaparts. Have your model, year and VIN. They have someone there who knows the cables, or at least used to. I work w/ Romney, but I think it may be someone else.

Yes, but it will treat your S7 like a USB drive.
