New Audi A8 TDI owner
Hello All.
I am the new Audi A8 owner and a member of this forum. Just got my 2015 TDI yesterday and will pick it up in couple days form the dealer. I'm not a stranger to the diesel cars and have long history of owning bunch of them, but mostly Mercedes and Range Rovers. This is my first Audi diesel. It has 45K miles on odo and still on factory warranty for another 10 months. Very excited to own it.
One question I'd like to ask you guys. Every time when I start the car, navigation screen pops up and it really annoys me. Is there any way in setups to leave it always opened ?

No, there is no such function offered by Audi. You would have to deactivate the display motor inside the MMI. But that´s not a reasonable option, I think.

Some time ago, one of the members posted pictures of the wiring under the carpet, detailing which wire to cut and then put in your own switch. You will have to search. That way it will remain in the open position. I was tempted to do just the opposite as I have no need for the screen and find that it ruins the look of the dash when open...just no time..
