I am a new A8 2015 owner. Love the car just getting used to the setiings etc.

Couple of questions:
1) for the Map is there a way to get rid of the black box on the right that shows the altitude, zoom magnification, etc. It overwrites part of the map and I would like to turn it off if possible.

2) Is there a way to have the arrow showing my car point towards the top even if I am going south?

3) When I was driving home today, I had the Map zoomed up to 200 yards - the map would revert back to 1/4 mile without me doing anything. When I reset it to 200 yards it did the same thing. I am wondering if maybe the GPS signal was not great in a zone and maybe it reverts back to 1/4 mile when that happens.

4) Last if I am on route guidance and I recognize the surrounding and no longer need it, how do I stop route guidance without deleting the destination/

I had several of the same questions as you, and found answers, and more, in the owners manual. It was very helpful.

Question #3, in the default setting the nav will zoom in at an intersection and zoom back out when you pass it.

#1 I am not sure as I do not have this on the 2012

#2 Look for direction of travel and set that as default.

#3 I do not believe that should happen, it doesn't on the 2012

#4 Press the destination button and then cancel. The address will still be there.
