New shoes ... BBS CH-R and N-spec Michelin A/S 3

Well, given up on decent weather to post pix of these. Comparing to the Contis on OEM 21" rotors, I find the 275/40-20s Michelins looking like bagels at times. They do not have much of rim protector at all either, looking nothing like the pic on tirerack, so that's a bit disappointing. I'm going to try lowering in VCDS 10mm and see if that helps the stance/appearance. They are about 5mm from flush which I think is just about right. The offset on the 20x9" BBS is 29mm.

That said, the Michelins drive like a dream on the highway and are more than adequate in the twisties. I've had every iteration of the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S from the original to the A/S 3 Plus and all of them rode sort of hard and growly though they handled so close to a summer tire it's just not worth not dealing with a winter/summer setup here in MD. This tire is smooth riding and quiet as a mouse. It is 20" and a higher profile, but I've never felt a 21" setup was any penalty at all in ride comfort.

Lots of angles for folks to get a decent idea what this setup looks like. Comments most appreciated!

Might want to consider in the future 285/35-21 Michelin Pilot Super Sports. They will fit on OEM 21 inch rims, look good and ride well. I put them on my S8 and I am pleased with the results. I got them from Tire Rack.

I like the idea of a 10mm drop. Should look killer. Where in Md, did you find blue sky? Harford been raining for a month...:)

I just put on the exact same tire and size on my car a month ago. Granted on the same 20 inch wheel, but you’re bagel comment is interesting. Coming from the 265/40 20 Pirelli Pzero Nero’s the side wall looks a little taller which is strange. I thought the only difference was in width - which is noticeable also. Profile number is the same as stock. That said, they ride great and super quiet compared to the Pirellis.

yea, they are taller. 40% of 275 is more than 40% of 265. You know on intended Panamera these are the front tires only. The rears are 315 in a staggered fitment.

haha, yea, pic #one is from spring. I just wanted a shot with my stock OEM 21” rotors in for comparison,

I will be back with a 10mm drop 🤨

Lowered 10mm. Not sure quite enough, but going with this for awhile. Appreciate any thoughts.
