Last bit of drop for total of 15mm front, 13mm rear. As always, please comment as any thoughts most appreciated esp regards new 275/40-20" profile. I personally think the front is a bit too low with that extra 2mm. Anybody else? Thanks!

I think it's all in my head, but does seem a bit firmer now that it's as low as I feel comfortable going. It already rubs the front fender screw on an undulating road surface with large front end excursion.

Both look good to me, so maybe I would stick with the 10mm to play it safer. I just posted about sidewall height as well. Maybe I need to do the same lowering. How did you get that completed?

I lowered mine 17mm on all four corners without any rubbing issues. I'm on factory 21" 275/35.

Here are the instructions I used to lower it via VCDS - it took 20 minutes doing it methodically with some measuring.

FWIW - the ride is noticeably stiffer when lowered. Helps with the body roll into turns. I'll be putting on my snows in a couple weeks and intend to bring the ride height back to factory settings. My snows are 20" so I'll have more sidewall to combat the Michigan potholes (although probably not enough, I can't bring myself to put my S8 on 19" wheels after rolling on 21" - not to mention the potential caliper clearance issue).

For FWIW, in D3 era with 275/35s, I found up to about 10mm drop didn't affect feel much, but beyond 10 and I definitely noticed. It made the Dynamic (Sport) mode only usable on clean surface roads without tiring of it pretty quickly. Caused me to hold it to 10mm max. Some others have noted similarly on D3 board subsequently. On D3 my sway bar change was biggest bang for buck to clean up general feel (plus 275's relative to the mediocre A/S 18's baseline A8's came with back then). That was a non sport air ride. S8 is already at max sway and air ride combo of parts so aspect ratio and ride height the only easy dials--plus unsprung weight nuances with the forged OE's I went with.
