Picked up my new A8L.
 

I was literally speechless at the dealership. Most beautiful car I have ever owned.

The 2 and a half hour drive home was like a dream. So many new features to learn about this car compared to my 08 A6.

I will definitely get some pictures posted tomorrow.

(derfA8L the extended leather package is on my vehicle. Looks beautiful. The dash is done in leather and the armrest on the mid- console. The interior of each door actually has suede. )

Scothawk2, how's the weather out where you are? Recalling from the other thread, you were hoping for some of the white fluffy stuff. Let us know what your first driving impressions are. Meanwhile, we're all still waiting for the white stuff up here in Toronto, Canada...with our winters on. :)

Woofster, we didn't get anywhere near the amount of snow forecasted, so the roads were good to and from Iowa City today.

The car looks terrific! Thanks for the interior update. Yup all A8s have the alcantara door inserts; you should also have smooth leather trimmed door armrests in addition to the smooth leather center console armrests.

2011 A8L Bluetooth Verizon Compatibility
 

I took delivery of my A8L December 7, 2010. Love it. Need to get a new cell phone that will work with the car. Any ideas of a Verizon phone that works well from the get go? Very confusing.

If you haven't seen this on the AofA website, they have tested a number of phones (by carrier) for compatability with different Audi models. Perhaps not perfect, but it should be of some help. Go to the following link...

You also may have good luck with the new iphone - verizon edition.
Beyond that I regret I am not helpful - I use a reg cell, very infrequently, in the car and have never used the gps in all the cars we have owned. Just a Luddite.

Oolong Grey metallic- the new color. It appears as grey in the low light and as a brown in the sunlight. Pretty nice color. Black interior. And the B&O sound system is unbelievable. Love the auto, although it has some pretty complicated gadgets on it. This bluetooth is giving me fits though. Thanks for the info. I will cgeck t out.
