Default Power Loss Issues A8 4.2 TDI

Hello Audiworld members. First of all I’m new in this forum.
I would like to ask for help about a power loss issue with my car and I hope I will find any useful clue around here.
I own an Audi A8 4.2 TDI, year of production: 2010.
I own this car for about 1 year now and I absolutely love it. Lately I’ve been having this power loss issue with it and it makes me sad all the time that I’m not being able to use it’s full potential.
The problem is when you floor it there won’t be any problem at 1st , 2nd and 3rd gear but after the 4th gear and up as it reaches about 3.500 rpm it’s suddenly cuts the power and if you keep your foot flooring the pedal it will give the full power again and then cut it again at some point of any rpm over 3.500-4.200, so as I said until the 3rd gear everything is ok, but from the 4th gear to the 8th it keeps cutting and giving power back, it may happen that it cuts and gives power back 4 to 5 times for a gear. I have checked for engine issues via vcds but no faults found no engine light on or anything. As I told you I love my car very much but this issue is driving me crazy lately. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot...

Don't have a TDI, but every other diesel I've run when experiencing power loss needed a fuel filter change and cured the power loss problem.

Fuel filter is a good bet. Wouldn't hurt to see if there's any fault codes on vcds

Thanks for your response. I have been suspicious about the fuel filter and I’ve changed it but no results at all.

Thank you too for your response. As I mentioned I’ve recently changed fuel filter with hope of solving this problem but nothing happened still the same issue, and I’ve also mentioned that I’ve checked it with vcds and there are no fault codes on it.
