Default Program newer audi keyfob to our D4s.

After trying the loaner Q7 my dealer provided while car was undergoing warranty work, ive grown accustomed to the newer (and much lighter remote)

Anyone know if they would be compatible with our current D4s?

Unknown if there is any hope here AFAIK. Do the new keys even have the cut key blade in them?--might be a reason for lighter feel. FWIW, on prior generations when i asked on this or looked into, the typical answer from service advisor types was either no, or no idea. Besides the key/remote price as a couple hundred per copy, figure another couple hundred to get the programmed, if even do-able. My own guess is not do-able; in prior generations the security level used also went up so they wouldn't probably interchange.

Thanks for the response. The remote does come out to reveal a key, but i believe both the crown (brushed) part is made from aluminum vs metal on the older ones and are noticeably lighter. Asked the service advisor and got the most confused facial expression.
