Quad tip exhaust on 2014 A8
after owning my A8 for awhile I thought about adding something in the looks and sound department. To that end I ordered the three pieces that make up the S8 lower rear valence and some aftermarket exhaust tips. I have enclosed photos, the body parts are all genuine Audi, total cost 702.00. The tips are Wesdon Automotive in black stainless steel with 3” in and dual 3” out. I was very pleased with the high quality and finish of these tips, at 169.00 a pair they are a great deal. I will be pairing this up with Vibrant 3” in and out polished 304 stainless steel resonators in lieu of the stock rear mufflers.
I already have stage one APR tune on the car, in conjunction with exhaust work I will also be installing S8 rear sway bar.

I get all my parts from audiusaparts.com in Beaverton Oregon. My local dealer while good on service try's to sell parts at list!!

UPDATE So, I had the valence parts painted and installed on my A8.
A couple of points to make first, the little mounting nibs that hold the new lower S8 bumper cover to the upper existing A8 bumper do NOT all line up. It is necessary to determine which ones interfere and cut them off with Dremel tool, there are still plenty enough to hold the two parts together properly.
Secondly the original A8 mufflers dump out in a different spot than the S8 valence openings are located, the car can still be driven but I wouldn't tempt the issue with one half of one of the dual tips exiting to one side of the opening. I worried about the new paint heating up but after the drive it was still only warm to the touch. I drove car straight to muffler shop four miles away, the plan is to remove rear mufflers, install Vibrant 12"x3" resonators followed by the Wesdon tips shown in above photos. I will have pics when it is all together. I am looking for better sound, the look of the four tips and just to do something different.
BTW I will sell all the original parts removed including the two mufflers for 700.00 plus shipping. Local pickup would be better, I live 2.5 hours north of Boston. You could convert an earlier D4 to the newer trapezoidal exhaust. The factory mufflers are 590.00 each! so you can see this is a great deal. All the parts are off a 2014 4.0T with 16,988 miles.

Pics when done please! I did a similar thing but only upgraded from the older style circular exhaust tips to the trapezoidal. New bumper parts and tips. ran me about $1400 all in with install. Only problem I had was the tip setup from ebay came with two LEFT side inner dual tips - and the seller never got back to me or sent the correct one. so I just installed it without any inner tips. no big deal really.

Quad tips all done!
so I posted awhile back about the desire to add a sportier look AND better sound to my car. Mission accomplished!
The S8 valence fit with a few simple mods, after listening to car with the mufflers cut off I decided to skip some small resonators I had and just install the tips. At start up it is loud for like Two seconds then a nice burble at idle.
At 70 mph windows up it is girtually undetectable inside the car. Around town it is absolutely fine as long as you don't have your foot in it. On full acceleration you definitely hear it. No drone, no weird noises. It is exactly what I hoped to achieve. Shout out to Chris and Marcelo at Lous Custom Exhaust, Portland, Maine. Very knowledgeable, super welding, perfectly centered.

ok, so, I love the quad exhausts but...and I'm not a hater! but I personally think the tips need some sort of treatment, like chrome or gloss black tips over the pipes. They look a bit naked to me for some reason.

the tips actually are gloss black powder coated. I did look at polished ss and I couldn't find anything I really liked that had a 3" inlet.....AND had an angled cut. I really don't like the S8 factory tips all that much either.
Everybody that has seen the tips in person has liked them. I do realize one has to be careful when modifying such a well designed car.
