I had remote start put on my ’13 A8. It works perfectly. I had to purchase 2 T-harnesses
1) idatalink ADS-THR-AU2 VW/AUDI 2008-2017
2) idatalink ADS-VW X000A VW/AUDI 2006+ REMOTE START T-HARNESS 3X LOCK FROM OEM KEY
I found both of these on eBay. They range in price from $150-$250 each piece. My total after installation was $537.08
I used Audio Source in Greenwood IN for the install. I took me quite a search to find someone that would install it. Apparently it is a pretty involved process. Good luck!

I had Perzan Auto Radio in PA do my install on my '14 A8L. They are great and walked me through what was necessary and I have the remote start with the OEM key fob and on my smartphone.
Call them and ask for Eric or David (owners). They will get you squared away with a remote start on your D4. And tell them Matt from Boston referred you.

It was around $750 if I remember correctly but give Eric or David a call they are the owners, tell them Matt with the Audi sent you. That was for the whole thing including one year subscription on phone to start from an app anywhere you want (plus lock/unlock).
