Satellite icon next to time on center screen...???

So, just noticed this, and it wasn't there until recently, and I've made NO changes within the MMI - does this mean the time is connected via satellite for the clock? wonder why this would all of a sudden appear with no modifications by me or the dealer...

It means the time is being set via GPS. It's an option in the MMI.

That's what I figured but the funny part is that I never enabled that function. oh well, kinda cute icon at least. be better if it was a little bear...
