im having trouble clearing the message service due on my 2011 a8l... i can goto the mmi and clear the oil change interval but it wont let me clear the damn service due message each time i turn on and off car on the cluster ?

i even did it using vcds by going in to 17... adaptions... ESI RESETTING but it will only reset the mileage and oil change interval...

and on my mmi it says 100mi over my last service...

Dil, on our cars I use the SRI reset in VCDS program.

Can't be done in the MMI. A tool llike VCDS, OBDeleven or Carista is required to reset the service interval.

i have vagcom and i tried the SRI 1st but it wont work tells me to goto controller 17 and manually reset it which i did and it works but thats for the oil change which i can even do from the mmi screen im trying to reset the SERVICE DUE message which shows up on my cluster screen everytime i start the car and when turn off

There is a particular procedure with vcds that I don't remeber but if you google it or go to rosstech.com I am sure you will find it.
